Lab updates: Minor setback

Updated: Mar 24, 2022

Today I was supposed to expose my cells to different concentrations of DMSO and measure the cytotoxicity/cell death. To do this, I detached my cells from the cell culture flask and seeded them into 96-wall plates, all of which I did yesterday. So far, everything was looking good, on track and the cells looked okay before I put them in the incubator overnight. So long story short, when I went to the lab today to start my experiment I did a quick check on my cells in the 96-well plate, and they were all dead :(. This is ironic because I was supposed to kill them with DMSO. Anyhow, after losing all hope, my supervisor restored some of it, and we will continue tomorrow. To match the mood the is weather was also dark and raining (as you can see in the pic). But tomorrow is a new day we will be back on it!
